Friendly, caring support with clinical expertise
From your initial consult, during your treatments, and through your follow up visits. CyberKnife Centers of San Diego's team will guide you every step of the way. Our staff takes pride in providing you with personalized treatment for your exact condition. Our trained and certified team consists of radiation oncologists, specialty surgeons, physicists, therapists, and nursing support.
The radiation oncologist along with a specialty surgeon will work together to determine the best radiosurgery treatment available for you. They will prescribe the dose of radiation you are to receive as well as the number of fractions (number of treatments) needed to safely deliver that dose.
The physicist will take this prescribed dose by the physicians and develop your specific treatment plan.
The radiation therapist will get you prepared and set up for the actual treatment. The therapist is also responsible for delivering the treatment as prescribed and planned.
The nursing staff will work closely with you to coordinate all appointments needed to ensure your treatment is delivered in a timely manner. The nurse will provide education, support, and monitoring before, during, and after your CyberKnife® treatments. We want to ensure that you and your family understand and are comfortable with the CyberKnife® process.
